Dimensions: 21.6 metres long, 4.4 metres breadth, 1.76 metres draft Description of vessel: Typical estuary tug boat design with low freeboard, straight stem, relative deep draft, rounded counter stern, forward coach-house over cabin, mid wheelhouse, funnel, engine room casing with sky-lights, stern cabin and aft deck over stern ballast tank. Construction: Of steel construction, round hull form, all original structure is riveted, 6 mm thick plating with 8 mm at bow where strengthened for ice. Main framing is 90 mm x 65 mm ordinary angles, spaced 520 mm apart. Builders: She was built in 1934 by Friederich Schiffwerf, in Einswarden, Oldenburg, Germany. Yard number 564. Present engine is a 290 B.H.P 2 stroke Mirlees oil engine, (diesel). built by Mirlees, Bickerton and Day Ltd of Stockport, Engine number 52271 TLG MR6 dated 1958. Basic Accommodation: Stern Cabin with large double bed, 2 single beds, head & wash basin, diesel drip heater. Forward cabin with 4 single berths. Dining area under sky light, diesel drip heater & storage cupboards. Working galley, washroom with shower, wash basin & head. Stern Deck has a removable custom made awning.
